SCHOOL BASED PROGRAMS
Our free school based presentations are aimed at educating and empowering youth in regards to emotional wellness and anger. These classes are typically provided in a school setting, scheduled by a counselor or school personnel. For more information, please call (806) 747-5577.
Our School Based Programs are provided to area schools for free, thanks to generous grants from the CH Foundation and Covenant Foundation.

FGOC provides a variety of programs on the following topics:
Wrangler Ranch is a western themed anger management program for children 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. Children will learn to identify how anger looks and feels, how to manage their anger by using calming techniques, and steps to thinking through their choices. This program has 4 lessons, each lasting 30 to 40 minutes.
Dino-Might Tykes is a dinosaur themed anger management program for children in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Children will learn to identify different emotions and positive ways to control their anger in an effort to make positive choices. This program is offered to classrooms in 4 lessons, each lasting 30 to 40 minutes.
Girls to the 6th Power
Girls to the 6th Power is a girls-only group about what to expect and how to succeed in middle school. We tackle important topics like dealing with peer pressure, body image, bullying, internet safety, managing emotions, improving communication, making friends, and building self-confidence. This 4-part program is offered to 5th grade girls going into 6th grade. Each lesson is 30 to 40 minutes long.
Gear up for 6th Grade
Gear Up for 6th Grade is a boys-only group about what to expect in middle school. This program covers many topics including bullying, how to handle peer pressure, hygiene, personal grooming, gathering and organizing school supplies, and how to succeed both socially and academically. This 4-part program is offered to 5th grade boys going into 6th grade. Small groups up to 12. Each lesson is 30 to 40 minutes long.
Coaching Teen Leaders
Being a pre-teen or teen is difficult. Between the pressures of school, home, and daily life, teens can have a tough time controlling responses to anger, stress, and frustration. Coaching Teen Leaders is a curriculum which assists pre-teens and teens in understanding different perspectives, staying in control under pressure, knowing their core values, and setting/achieving personal goals through hard work. This program contains 4 lessons lasting 30 to 40 minutes each. Offered to middle school and high school students.
Preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome
Many students are involved in the care of infants and young children, whether the child belongs to a friend, relative, sibling, or themselves. This presentation will discuss Shaken Baby Syndrome - explaining physical, social, and legal consequences, providing tips on what to do when an infant cries, and how students can manage anger and stress in their lives, in an effort to never become so out of control that they injure a child who is in their care. This presentation is a one-time, 30 to 40 minute program that is available for students or adults.
